I was not adopted, but I’ve had a lot of childhood trauma to work through. I am forced to admit here that if I had been adopted and faced the same circumstances as I did growing up, it would probably have made things even harder—and certainly more complicated. I applaud your courage and that of all those who commented from the adoptee perspective.
