Hey thoughtful response! I believe there is a “Wizard of Oz“ behind the curtain. And that wizard is very, very nervous. He knows he must keep up his machinations as the World shifts and changes beneath him. He’s a System, composed primarily of white men. He was embodied in “good,” Theodore Roosevelt, in my own forbears who were his contemporaries, and he’s embodied today in Donald Trump. He’s embodied in many nervous and fearful white men today, as well as many many white women who are nervous about trying to maintain the status quo.

There have undoubtedly been other wizards throughout history, but this one is ours. He’s the one we are responsible for. I have done my share of contributing to his power, but my commitment today is to rectify that in my own life.
